Welcome to Nicholson Early Childhood Education Center! We are a half-day, private preschool program serving children from 18 months to 5 years of age. Our mission is to provide the highest quality preschool education for your child. To achieve that aim, there are four primary goals of our program:
- To build deep, caring relationships with each child and their family in an atmosphere of mutual respect.
- To create engaging learning environments where children are excited to play and learn.
- To develop enriching curriculum activities and experiences for children that support their learning and development in all academic and life domains.
- To nurture quality teachers with creative resources and support for their continued professional development so that they are inspired to provide an amazing preschool experience for your child!
Having worked alongside Dr. Nicholson for 14 years, I experienced firsthand the philosophy and values that continue to guide our school today. As Director, I am committed to continuing to provide the nurturing, play-based environment our families have come to know and trust. Her dedication to children, families, and the professional growth of educators established the strong foundation our school continues to build upon today.
The Nicholson Process remains at the heart of everything we do. Our classrooms are guided by Dr. Nicholson’s philosophy that young children learn best through purposeful play, meaningful relationships, and developmentally appropriate experiences. We strive to create a warm, engaging environment where children feel confident, stay curious, and love learning!
