Teachers are the key to high quality preschool education.
The teachers in our program are carefully chosen based on a multitude of factors such as their previous experience teaching young children, their educational background, specialized training in early childhood education or child development, their teaching dispositions and their willingness to be lifelong learners.
Teachers must have dedicated time to plan and prepare.
High quality preschool education requires dedicated teachers who plan and prepare in order to implement their curriculum. Our teachers have extended time daily (1.5 hours) for classroom preparation, extensive planning and professional development.
Teachers need support for their continual professional development.
Teachers need to know that they have support from their administrative team in order to provide the best educational program. Professional growth is encouraged and promoted through opportunities to attend continuing education courses, membership in professional organizations, access to current professional publications and research, and opportunities to meet with other teachers to share experiences and ideas. Our teachers also receive support and feedback from Dr. Nicholson through regular staff meeting and classroom observation. Our teachers are our greatest resource and the key to quality preschool education!
